Zeke and his digimon partner Guilmon X where the closest partners around. Even when Guilmon X became Gallantmon X and was given the position of royal knight, the pair were close. Most of the royal knights approved of this relationship except one, Craniamon. Behind the knights' backs, Craniamon plotted to remove Gallantmon X's partner and by remove, I mean kill. Jesmon, a newly joined member heard of this plan and tried to warn Zeke and Gallantmon X but was too late as Craniamon attacked. He tied to kill Zeke but Gallantmon X took the blow killing him on the spot. His data couldn't reform into a egg but Gallantmon X transferred a bit of his power into his partner before he died. He also said that if Zeke believes in reincarnation, then he will come back as someone else. Craniamon managed to frame Zeke for the murder causing all the knights to turn on him. The only one who didn't turn was Jesmon who took Zeke away and return him to the human world where as he has to stay in the digital world. The power Gallantmon X gived caused his dna to become part digimon as evidenced of the markings of the digital hazard appearing his hands and face and granted him eternal life. The death of his partner caused Zeke to enter a catatonic state which lasted for many years and only the reincarnation of his partner can break him out of it. Little does he know that the reincarnation is everyone's favorite saiyan Goku who shares some traits with his partner and it won't be long till they meet since Bulma is Zeke's caretaker.
